Ever wondered when a sapling grows into a huge tree how does it feel to know its been roots that has been nurturing the tree all the way through.....
Same nostalgic feeling surrounded me when I visited Ranchi after a span of 22 years on 20th Jan 2011. Yes, no prizes for guessing the 2 places that I could visit was my School Vivekananda Vidya Mandir, whose premise I last entered was 1986...!!!!
I could only see my favorite Swadhina Chakraborty Madam, who is possibly due to retire in next 6 month. All my teachers whom I consider no less than God for imparting all the knowledge for which I am currently admired and respected have all retired.
The current School Principal Dr. Samarjit Jana, is quite enterprising and hopes that someday even my school shall have powerful networking with its illustrative alumni spread across every nook and corner of the Globe.
At VVM, I still remember, the love and care we got from Barari Sir, Mandira Madam, Swapna Madam, Gauri Madam, Dubey Sir and the list is obviously endless.
I also had an opportunity visiting my College St. Xavier's and meeting Father C. De Brouwer in person.
Oh...!! , Every thing has changed , the Main road now boast of few good multi-storeyed building.
Only thing that caused me lots of pain is the current state of neglected HEC colony, which was not only jewel of Ranchi but for the entire nation. I am enclosing some pics during my visit, I am reachable at sahasushovon@gmail.com, 09412004596, 09582972645
